Job Description:

Our client is a part of a Fortune 500 company and they are a global leader in providing technologies to companies in a variety of industries in the spaces of printing, labeling, and coding. We are seeking a strong Engineering leader with a background in Six Sigma and people development for a Director of Product Technical Support role in suburban Chicago. Director of Product Tech Support Requirements

- The Director of Technical Support will lead a team of Technical Managers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Application Engineers that support their clients by resolving technical issues involving their technology and equipment.

- The Director of Product Support will be responsible for creating and maintaining a culture that promotes employee growth enabling Engineers on the team to develop into higher level roles within the organization.

- The Director of Tech Support is responsible for using Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement knowledge to identify, drive, and resolve process improvements throughout the department.

- Assist in new product development, creating key metrics, and performance reviews of employees.

Director of Product Tech Support Requirements

- A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is required. Advanced degrees are preferred.

- A strong knowledge base in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement is required.

- A passion for developing teams and the individuals on the team to advance their own career within the organization.

- Any previous experience with a technical support center or call center is preferred but not required.

- Previous direct management of employees is required.

- Domestic travel as needed. 1-2 international trips per year as well.
